1. Mayor West called the meeting to order at 8:10 pm.
2. CRA BOARD AGENDA APPROVAL
MOTION: Ms. Joiner moved, Mr. Whitaker seconded, and the motion
carried 5-0 to approve the April 7, 2025 CRA Board Agenda.
3. PUBLIC COMMENT
Rachel Kendzior, Vice-President of Palmetto Downtown Mainstreet (PDMS), provided a few updates of upcoming events. The have the Saturday Sundown Concert Series at Sutton Park the third Saturday of each month. There is one next week, the Saturday of Easter weekend. On April 30th from 6:00-7:00 pm at the Palmetto Public Library, they are holding a meet and greet with PDMS. Mr. Williams said that is the same date as the FDOT meeting.

MOTION: Ms. Joiner moved, Mr. Smith seconded, and the motion carried
5-0 to approve the Consent Agenda as presented by staff.

Carried forward from Workshop to continue discussion, if necessary.

The presentations were completed at the Workshop.
6. CRA DIRECTOR’S COMMENTS
Mr. Johnson shared that the CRA staff wanted to thank the Board for the updated holiday schedule. Mr. Johnson shared that he had discussions with the Bradenton CRA today and both sides would like to hold a photo opportunity with the Freebee vehicles on the Green Bridge before the Desoto Grand Parade on April 26th at 5pm, in the middle of the bridge. Mr. Johnson emphasized the usefulness of FreeBee.

8. CRA BOARD MEMEBERS’ COMMENTS
Mr. Smith thinks there is a problem with the CRA Advisory Board. Two of the people on the Board are in business together, Mr. Iaboni and Mr. Bessi.
Dr. Cornwell requested a monthly update from SVN.
Mayor West adjourned the meeting at 8:20 pm.
