This CRA Board Meeting was conducted utilizing Communications Media Technology. Some Staff members were present in the Commission Chambers while others were present via the Zoom application to respect the social distancing guidelines.

2. CRA BOARD AGENDA APPROVAL
Motion: Mrs. Cornwell moved, Mrs. Varnadore seconded, and the motion carried 5-0 to approve the June 7, 2021 CRA Board Agenda with the addition of item 7A for the CRA Director to reach out to the property owners regarding Riverside Project.
b. Legal Bills
Motion: Mrs. Cornwell moved, Mr. Jones seconded, and the motion carried 5-0 to approve the Consent Agenda as presented by staff.

5. CRA DIRECTOR'S COMMENTS
Mr. Burton, CRA Director, gave updates on the 4th Fest Event, the Multi-Cultural Festival, the Brownfield Summer Educational Conference, and the ground breaking at Connor Park.
6. CRA PRESIDING OFFICER'S COMMENTS
Presiding Officer Bryant congratulated Mr. Burton on the Downtown Alternative Redevelopment presentation that was presented at the 4:30 p.m. Commission Workshop Meeting.
7.A INQUIRY TO LAND USAGE
Presiding Officer Bryant took the motion before the CRA Board Members’ comments.
Motion: Mrs. Varnadore moved, Mr. Jones seconded, and the motion carried 5-0 to approve the CRA Director to reach out to the property owners regarding the Riverside Project.
7. CRA BOARD MEMBERS’ COMMENTS
Mr. Smith thanked Mr. Burton for doing a great job.
Mrs. Cornwell expressed that she is looking forward to the 4th Fest Event and agreed with Presiding Officer Bryant that Mr. Burton’s Downtown Alternative Redevelopment presentation was good.
Mr. Jones inquired about the Public Meeting that was held at MLK Park for discussion on future CRA projects and how best the CRA can serve the community. Mr. Burton replied that the Public Meeting was also held at Sutton Park. And, these meetings were about collecting the community’s ideas and presenting them to the Board for potential additions to the revised CRA Comprehensive Plan. Mr. Jones suggested if recreational equipment could be installed, in the area where the new MLK restrooms are being built, for the children. Mr. Burton replied that he will look into it.
Presiding Officer Bryant adjourned the meeting at 8:07 p.m.
